Whitelist A Sender Domain in Gmail

Clients using the Ezmlm mailing list software provided with their hosting, may experience problems with subscribers to the mailing list getting purged off the list if mail to them is bouncing. Gmail is a common culprit which sometimes bounces back valid emails.

Generally speaking recipients should whitelist the domain that their list emails come from. This can be done by adding *@example.com and/or @example.com to the email filters to avoid flagging it as spam.

The following is the process to do so in Gmail. We’ll use the domain wonderbroads.org for an example.

1. Sign into Gmail on a desktop computer.

2. Visit the page for Filters and Blocked Addresses in the Settings area:

3. Click on Create a New Filter.

4. Enter @example.com in the From field. In this case: “@wonderbroads.org”.

5. Click on ‘Create filter’. Then check Never Send to Spam.

Then click ‘Create Filter’.

6. You should now see your filter in the list under “The following filters are applied to all incoming mail“:
